Medical Sales Representative responsible for promoting and selling the company’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and hospitals. This role involves a combination of sales, marketing, and customer engagement tasks to achieve sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Veterinary, Medicine, Dentistry, or Biological Sciences.
Experience: relevant job experience is preferred.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct all sales and promotional activities for the company’s products in a specific area.
- Responsible for execution of company’s marketing plan in this area.
- Create and regularly update customers lists of the company, including physicians and pharmacists, and work on adding new customers to achieve the sales target.
- Create and regularly update lists of therapy area KOLs to engage and increase their loyalty to increase their advocacy aiming to achieve the highest profitability for the company in the promoted therapy area.
Description of the responsibilities of the medical representative:
- Marketing and Sales: Market and sell the company’s products to current customers, including physicians and pharmacists in private clinics, pharmacies, or hospitals, according to the weekly visit schedule set by the company for each area.
- Sales Targets: Responsible for achieving the sales target in the assigned area and maintain continuous sales growth, ensuring it is not less than the overall company sales growth and the pharmaceutical market growth in Egypt.
- Customers Acquisition: screening for potential new customers in the assigned area to grow sales and update client data records.
- Opportunity Exploitation: Search for and exploit all available sales opportunities in the area.
- Product Knowledge: Have comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products and competitors’ products, and successfully pass periodic quizzes on product knowledge
- Compliance: Adhere to company work regulations and maintain the confidentiality of work-related information, including employee and customers data.
- Customer’s Needs: Provide the company with a clear picture of the target customers’ needs.
- Competitors Activity: Provide the company with written reports on competitor activities in the area.
- Visit Planning: Develop weekly and monthly visit plans for the assigned area and submit them to the direct manager on time.
- Reporting: Submit detailed daily and weekly reports on visits according to the schedule set by the company management.
- Additional Tasks: Perform additional tasks assigned by the company that are deemed important for work.
- Presentations: Conduct presentations for health care professionals on the company’s products.
Authorities and communication:
Authorities
- Sales Decisions: Authority to make decisions regarding sales strategies and tactics within the assigned area to achieve sales targets.
- Customers Interaction: Authority to interact with healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff, to promote and sell products.
- Reporting: Authority to provide feedback and reports to the management on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Communication:
- Internal Communication:
- With Supervisors: Regularly report to the Sales Supervisor or Area Manager on sales activities, progress towards targets, and any issues encountered.
- With Team Members: Collaborate with other sales representatives to share insights, strategies, and support each other in achieving sales goals.
- With Management: Communicate with higher management to provide updates on market conditions, customer feedback, and suggestions for improving sales strategies.
- External Communication:
- With customers: Maintain regular contact with healthcare professionals to promote products, provide product information, and address any questions or concerns.
- With Distributors: Coordinate with distributors to ensure product availability and timely delivery to clients.
- With Competitors: Monitor competitor activities and gather market intelligence to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
